Transportation to the campus
How accessible is the public transportation to the campus?
Brno University of Technology consists of several faculties located in different parts of the city. All campuses are well connected by the city’s public transportation system (trams, buses and trolleybuses), making them easily accessible from most areas of Brno.
How accessible are the parking facilities of the campus?
Parking in Brno is regulated by a city parking system. The city uses a “flower” model for residents and parking subscribers, allowing them to park not only near their residence or workplace but also in neighbouring zones.
For visitors, parking is divided into three zones (A, B and C). Zone A (the historic city centre) is generally not accessible for visitors without a permit. In Zone B, visitors can park free of charge for 60 minutes per day and then pay CZK 40 per additional hour, with regulations applying all day on working days. In Zone C, 60 minutes of free parking is available per day, after which the fee is CZK 30 per hour, with regulations applying on weekdays from 5 PM to 6 AM.
Free parking always requires registration at a parking meter or via a mobile application. Parking can be paid via parking meters, online systems, mobile apps (such as ParkSimply or EasyPark), or SMS. Additional options include parking garages across the city.
