What is the procedure to be recognised as a student with a disability?
Students need to apply for support on a national web site.
Necessary documents to provide
A certificate of long-term disability must be submitted with the application. The certificate must have been issued by a certified healthcare professional, such as a doctor, psychologist, audiologist, or speech therapist and contain a description of the disability and how it affects the student in the study situation.
What can students expect?
What kind of support that is relevant is discussed during a consultation with a coordinator. The most common support measures are note-taking support, extended time for examinations and access to speech books, but other adaptations may also be relevant.
Adjustments for students with disabilities
Adjustments can be made available for students under certain conditions, based on a needs assessment upon arrival at the University.

Welcoming activities
What specific information is provided for students with disabilities during the orientation days?
We offer welcome services for a few weeks at the start of each semester. Members of staff are available to help with questions, and to inform new students about how to get started as a newly arrived student, both with practical matters in regards to student ID and registration, as well as with how to get in contact with student life. An official information session is offered and a small fair to help students find out about local services and student clubs.
