Procedure to be recognised as a student with fewer opportunities

Incoming students with Erasmus+ financing through their home institutions should contact their home institution for information about eligibility for Erasmus+ mobility top up grants.

Outgoing students as well as incoming students with Erasmus+ financing through the University of Borås can reach out to the International Office at the University of Borås for information about Erasmus+ top-up grants.

Contact the International Office at your home institution to learn what supporting documents you may need to provide.

Procedure to be recognised as a student with a disability

To be recognised as a student with a disability and be eligible for disability study support, students must apply through Nais (https://www.nais.uhr.se/). Nais is a nationwide system through which students apply for disability study support. To log in when applying through Nais, you must use your University of Borås student account.

In the application, you must attach a certificate confirming long-term disability. This can for example be a medical certificate from a doctor. 

Depending on the disability, students may receive support with: 

  • Help with notetaking
  • Assistance
  • Additional tuition/mentor support
  • Recorded course literature
  • Educational interpreting
  • Other forms of special arrangements, such as extended time for exams.

Financial support

This institution does not offer extra financial support for incoming students with disabilities.

Medical and Psychological support

Student Health Care Centre is in the L-building, in the same building as the library. Choose the H elevators, located to the right of the entrance, and go up to the fifth floor, walk straight out of the elevator and to the end of the corridor. There is a sign hanging from the roof - Studenthälsan (Student Health Care Centre).
