What is the procedure to be recognised as a student with a disability?
– During the enrollment procedure the student must report his/her disability or specific learning disorder by attaching his/her certification.
- To receive the support they need to be able to attend the University
Necessary documents to provide
The disability certification must be:
• issued by INPS, pursuant to law no. 118 del 30 marzo 1971
118 of 30 March 1971 (civil invalidity);
• or issued by the competent public health facility for the area, pursuant to law no. 104/92 and subsequent amendments (invalidity certificate).
ASD diagnosis must:
• meet the criteria of the Consensus Conference (2011);
• report the nosographic codes, the explicit wording of the DSA in question, contain the information necessary to understand the individual characteristics with the indications of the areas of strength and weakness.
It must also have been issued by SSN structures or by bodies or professionals accredited by the Regions, no longer than 3 years previously, if produced before the candidate's age of majority (Article 3 of Law no. 170/2010 and subsequent State-Regions Agreement of the 24/07/2012).
NB: in consideration of the situation related to the health emergency, non-recent certifications will also be accepted with the request to update them before enrollment under penalty of failure to formulate the Individualized University Project.

What extra financial support for incoming students with disabilities is offered?
Students with disability at 66% or above benefit from complete waiver of university fees. All services provided by the University are free.
