Procedure to be recognised as a student with fewer opportunities
What is the procedure to be recognised as a student with fewer opportunities?
Firstly, incoming students need to send a request to the international office ([email protected] ). Based on the information they provide, an appointment can then be made with Ms. Charlie Dupic via Calendly. Ms. Dupic receives the students at her office, so that they can give her more details about their situation. Ms. Dupic then does her best to help the students and guide them towards the appropriate services according to the situation (accounting, career center, etc...)
Necessary documents to provide
Supporting documentation (financial documents, etc.) will be determined according to the students' own situation
What can students expect?
Receive guidance/help and be given priority from the appropriate services in our school, obtain contacts with adequate agencies/services (to get a loan or a student job for instance, etc.)

What is the procedure to be recognised as a student with a disability?

Specific adjustments, individualized follow-up to monitor the students' academic progression, connection with the different services of the school
Adjustments for students with disabilities
Adjustments can be made available for students under certain conditions, based on a needs assessment upon arrival at the University.
What adjustments for studies can be made for students?
- May bring a personal assistant to educational activities
- May bring a Sign Language interpreter to the educational activities
- May request adjusted courses materials: size, font and font size, braille, etc.
- May request the course material in digital format
- May use a laptop, tablet or iPad during lectures
- May use elevators and other access facilities on campus
What adjustments for exams can be made for students?
- May bring a personal assistant to the exam for practical help at the beginning and end of the exam
- May bring a Sign Language interpreter to oral exams
- May take a seat in separate exam room for written exams
- May take more preparation time before the oral exam
- May take more time for the written exam
- May use a laptop, tablet or iPad with assistive software during exams
