Adjustments for students with disabilities
Adjustments can be made available for students under certain conditions, based on a needs assessment upon arrival at the University.
What adjustments for studies can be made for students?
- May request to record lectures
- May use a laptop, tablet or iPad during lectures
- May use elevators and other access facilities on campus
What adjustments for exams can be made for students?
- May take a seat in separate exam room for written exams
- May take more preparation time before the oral exam
- May take more time for the written exam

Specific material is not available at Relais Handicap but you can use some in University Libraries (called BU for Bibliothèque Universitaire). BU Lettres, BU Droit, BU Santé provide computer and softawres. You can also ask to the association Handisup who takes care of disabled students in cooperation with the university of Nantes.

Are there any accessible services at the residences?
The CROUS offers accommodation adapted for people with disabilities, which is easily accessible and specially fitted out.
There is an emergency button in each accommodation to prevent someone else in any case.

What specific information is provided for students with disabilities during the orientation days?
The "Guichet Unique" - International students Welcome and Information desk takes place at the Maison des Échanges Internationaux et de la Francophonie (MEIF) twice a year in September and January.
Student tutors and international relations office staff welcome and offer help to international students providing all the necessary information to settle in Nantes, Saint-Nazaire or La Roche-sur-Yon.
