Erasmus+ Inclusion Support

For Erasmus+ higher education mobility participants, there are 5 official groups of students who are eligible for fewer opportunities support. These are students who are:

  1. a recipient of Estonian needs-based study/special allowance
  2. a parent of minor child/children
  3. from foster care background
  4. with diminished work ability
  5. with health related special needs or chronic illness

Target groups

Grants

Group: Erasmus+ higher education mobility for students and staff
Conditions

From 2021, there is no longer only a special needs support grant for Erasmus+, but an inclusion support grant based on real costs. In addition to students and staff with disabilities, participants (both students and staff) with fewer opportunities, who are unable to participate in mobility without inclusion support, are also eligible to apply for inclusion support.

In order to apply for inclusion support, the participant needs to contact their sending HEI's Erasmus+ coordinator, fill out the inclusion support form that they provide with explanations of why they need inclusion support and what specific costs they need to have covered and have the coordinator submit the form to the NA for assessment. The application needs to be sent to the NA as early before the start of the mobility as possible and the NA will not cover costs that are made before the application is approved (except in exceptional cases). Applications that are submitted after the mobility has started will not be accepted by the NA.

The participant will have to submit a financial report (the form will be provided by the Erasmus+ coordinator) with supporting documents after the mobility, which will be assessed by the NA, who will confirm the final accepted real costs. Only costs that have been pre-approved in the application are allowed and all costs need to be proved with invoices/receipts as well as bank statements.
