What is the procedure to be recognised as a student with a disability?
Specialized study advice is provided by Inclusion Office, compensation for disadvantages in exams is provided by decentralised examination authorities.

Adjustments can be made available for students under certain conditions, based on a needs assessment upon arrival at the University.

- May request adjusted courses materials: size, font and font size, braille, etc.

Preparatory visits
What is the procedure to request a preparatory visit?
For preparatory visits, please contact the Inclusion Office.
What can be expected from the preparatory visit?
We will guide you across the campus, through our buildings and seminar rooms. You will receive information from our Inclusion Office and, if possible, from the Examination Office responsible for your study program.
Welcoming activities
What specific information is provided for students with disabilities during the orientation days?
The Welcome Weeks is an orientation and networking program that takes place each semester two weeks before the start of the lectures. It offers an interesting and diverse range of activities and events. Participation is not required but highly recommended. It gives you an opportunity to become familiar with living and studying in Hannover and to connect with other international students.
In addition to German language courses and visits to the Immigration Office there will be a good variety of cultural and fun activities.
