Procedures for students

Procedure to be recognised as a student with fewer opportunities

The “fewer opportunities” group of participants will be supported in their endeavors through financial grants from programme funds. The additional support (“fewer opportunities” Top-Up) for persons with fewer opportunities is given to:

  • Students with a disability
  • Students with a chronic illness, if this results in increased financial expenses during the stay abroad (in comparison to the stay in the sending country). A medical certificate (not older than 3 months) must be submitted and, if necessary, additional reports in order to evaluate the impact of the chronic illness on the academic mobility.
  • Students with child(ren) who take the child or children with them on the Erasmus+ stay

Students with a chronic illness, if this results in increased financial expenses during the stay abroad (in comparison to the stay in the sending country). A medical certificate (not older than 3 months) must be submitted and, if necessary, additional reports in order to evaluate the impact of the chronic illness on the academic mobility.

If applicable, a fixed amount of 250 euros per month can be approved. There is also the possibility of additional financial support, which can be granted in particular to participants with physical, mental or health impairments. The inclusion support covers additional costs that participants with disabilities or chronic illnesses incur in the course of the mobility or during the stay abroad and which cannot be covered by the top-up for participants with fewer opportunities (total amount based on the duration of the stay).

This procedure is applicable for both local and international students
