Procedure to be recognised as a student with a disability
What is the procedure to be recognised as a student with a disability?
Students needing any accommodations regarding their studies or exams have to submit an application to the examination board. More information on the process can be found here (in German only).

Students need to provide medical or psychological certificates in order to apply for accommodations.
What can students expect?
Accommodations are made on an individual basis depending on the student's needs. Therefore it is important that students contact the examination board or the Disability Office well in advance.
Adjustments for students with disabilities
Adjustments can be made available for students under certain conditions, based on a needs assessment upon arrival at the University.

- May bring a note taker to educational activities
- May bring a personal assistant to educational activities

What is the procedure to request a preparatory visit?
Interested students can directly contact the Department of International Affairs and the Disability/Inclusion Office to request individual advising appointments.
What can be expected from the preparatory visit?
Individual advising appointments with the Department of International Affairs and the Disability/Inclusion Office are available on request. Depending on the student's situation, advisors may refer to other resources on campus. There is no set program for preparatory visits.
