Services and Support

Financial support

If you experience study delay, you may be eligible for the UvA’s Profiling Fund. Please check this page for more information.
For information on other types of funding and scholarships, see this page.

Medical and Psychological support

Medical assistance for students at UvA
For medical assistance, the usual practice in the Netherlands is to have an initial consultation with a general practitioner. This practitioner can then refer you to a specialist in a hospital. As a student in Amsterdam, you can also contact the General Practitioners Practice UvA. We kindly ask you not to visit the practice but to make a call instead.

What do I do when I develop possible Covid-19 symptoms?
If you develop symptoms related to coronavirus, you need to get a free test to check whether you have the virus. Call 0800-1202 (or +31 850 659 063 if you're calling with a foreign phone number) to apply and make an appointment. You can also go here for more information.

Where can I find information on psychological support?
For psychological support information, see this page.
