Procedures for students

Procedure to be recognised as a student with fewer opportunities

This institution has not provided information about how to be recognised as a student with fewer opportunities.

Procedure to be recognised as a student with a disability

The services provided by the University are available to students with disabilities, SLDs, and SEN enrolled in Bachelor's, Master's, Single-Cycle Master's, and PhD programs offered by the University. These services are provided by the Student Citizenship, Orientation, and Placement Office. More specifically, people with the following conditions are eligible for the services available:

- mobility disabilities
- visual sensory disabilities
- hearing sensory disabilities
- speech disabilities
- “hidden” disabilities, i.e., heart disease, asthma, etc.
- specific learning disorders (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dysorthography, dyscalculia)
- special educational needs, SEN.

Applications for services (teaching/exam aids and/or tutoring) for disability or SLD must be submitted between August 1 and December 31 directly to the Virtual Secretariat (AFTER completing enrollment or registration in the Virtual Secretariat itself) at the following link: https://www.univaq.it/section.php?id=518  (click on "Request for services", then Questionnaire “Declarations by students with SLD”).
You must also upload your certification (by using "insert new attachment"), click on the substitute declaration of notarial deed and specify the type of aids requested (Requisiti dichiarati). After your submission, service requests are examined by the University Disability Commission in special meetings and the relevant decisions are then communicated to applicants by email.

The certifications valid for access to services and disciplinary measures are:
a) disability certification - indicating the percentage of disability or, in the cases provided for by law, only the type of disability; the submission of the disability certificate in its entirety is mandatory if you wish to take advantage of subsidized services;
b) disability certificate pursuant to Article 3, paragraphs 1 and 3, of Law No. 104 of February 5, 1992. The certificate may be replaced by enforceable court orders (see INPS communication No. 13007 of May 11, 2011);
c) certification of SLD issued by National Health Service facilities or by specialists and facilities accredited by the same, clearly indicating the regional accreditation code. Diagnoses or other diagnostic documentation cannot be taken into consideration. In addition to the regional accreditation code, the following must be indicated: the nosographic codes and explicit wording of the SLD of reading and/or writing and/or calculation, in accordance with the provisions of Law 170/2010, the Consensus Conference, Cc-ISS-2011, and subsequent additions. The certification must have been issued no more than three years ago if the student was still a minor at the time of its issue.

Students can benefit from the following services, subject to authorization by the University Commission and availability:
-    Welcome and orientation upon enrollment
-    Financial benefits: 1. Exemption from university fees and contributions; 2. Discount on the annual comprehensive contribution (COA)
