What is the procedure to be recognised as a student with fewer opportunities?
If a partner university is considering nominating a student for an exchange study period at the Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences, who needs individual arrangements for the exchange study period, please contact our Coordinator of the Incoming Student Exchanges at incoming(at)seamk.fi for further advice.
Necessary documents to provide

At SeAMK, our university pastor plays a vital role in supporting student well-being. Offering one-on-one meetings, students have a safe space to discuss their worries, dreams, fears, or anything else on their minds. Additionally, regular student evenings are organized, providing opportunities for students to socialize and connect in a welcoming environment.

What is the procedure to request a preparatory visit?
To request a tailored preparatory visit for students with special needs, contact [email protected] well in advance. We'll customize the visit based on individual requirements, ensuring a smooth transition to SeAMK.
What can be expected from the preparatory visit?
During the preparatory visit, we'll discuss the student's needs, make adjustments to the action plan as necessary, and see how things would work in practice. We'll also ensure introductions and visits are arranged beforehand, ensuring clarity at the start of studies.
Welcoming activities
What specific information is provided for students with disabilities during the orientation days?
Orientation week for all the new students. During the orientation days, students with disabilities will have a dedicated section organized specifically to accommodate their special needs, if needed.
