Procedures for students

Procedure to be recognised as a student with fewer opportunities

This institution has not provided information about how to be recognised as a student with fewer opportunities.

Procedure to be recognised as a student with a disability

Students applying for exchange studies at Malmö University indicate in their application if they are in need of learning support. The student will then be contacted by the Disability Coordinator. When you have been admitted to a course or programme, you will receive help to apply for learning support using the Nais database. The application will ask you to describe your disability and how it affects your studies.

More information: https://play.mau.se/media/t/0_kszfo9z9

You must include a certificate verifying your disability and the disability should last at least 6 months.

The certificate should verify your disability and be issued by a licensed healthcare professional such as a doctor, psychologist, audiologist or licensed dyslexia therapist. The certificate must include:

  • your name and the name of the person/institution issuing the certificate
  • the date of the investigation or the date you contacted the healthcare service provider
  • how long you have had a disability or had medical contact
  • how long the disability is expected to last
  • how the disability affects you

You will be contacted by the Learning Support and a coordinator will arrange a meeting with you to discuss your individual needs, the different forms of support that the university can provide and how it works.

This institution has not provided information about if the procedure applies for both local and international students
