What is the procedure to be recognised as a student with a disability?
Application for disability study support is made in a system called Nais: www.nais.uhr.se
If you apply for disability study support in Nais, an administrator for disability study support will contact you after the application is received. You can also contact the administrator before the application.
Remember to apply or contact us well in advance.
Necessary documents to provide
When you apply for disability study support, you need to attach a certificate from a licensed healthcare professional, such as a doctor, psychologist, or speech therapist. The certificate needs to include what kind of disability you have, how it affects you, and how long the disability is expected to last.
What can students expect?
What adjustments that can be made depends on individual needs. Adjustments are decided after a meeting between the student and the administrator for study support, where we discuss the individual needs and what kind of support the University can provide.

Halmstad University together with the Student Union arrange accommodation to exchange students.
