In addition to software, the Institute also provides the following hardware in its Assistive Technology Room: Portable magnifier, Eclipse magnifier, Opti Verso distance camera, Mini Keyboard White USB, Mini Keyboard Black USB wireless with trackball, Key guard for mini keyboard, Evoluent III mouse black - right hand, Evoluent II mouse black – left hand, Traxsys roller trackball II, Traxsys roller joystick plus. Provision of additional specific, individual requirements are subject to the needs assessment and eligibility.

The Institute of Technology Tralee is host to the CARA Adapted Physical Activity Centre, a National Resource Centre to lead, coordinate and support the developments of sport, physical activity and physical education for people with disabilities, coordinating, supporting and facilitating the Sports Inclusion Disability Programme within the local sport partnership structure throughout Ireland. - See more at: http://www.caraapacentre.ie/#sthash.5AyzwBng.dpufeducation. n 2013 the IT, Tralee became the first third level institution in the world to receive a UNESCO Chair in Inclusive Physical Education, Sport, Fitness and Recreation.
