Outgoing Students: Handing in proof at International Office in order to receive inclusion support.
Incoming Students: Advice of International Office at time of application. After acceptance discusion of details how mobility can be realized.
Necessary documents to provide
Outgoing Students: proof of GDB (degree of disability) / attestation from doctor.
Incoming Students: no proof needed, descriptiopn of needs / incapacity is sufficient.
What can students expect?
The Department of Student and Academic Affairs will get in touch with the senate representative for students with disabilities and chronic conditions as well as the lecturer of the respective course. They will exchange ideas regarding the situation on the premises, teaching and other factors to convey this information to the student. In the case of an application we kondly ask to precisely describe the needs in the cover letter. Adjustments can be made available for students under certain conditions, based on a needs assessment upon arrival at the University.
What adjustments for studies can be made for students?
- May bring a note taker to educational activities
- May bring a personal assistant to educational activities
- May bring a Sign Language interpreter to the educational activities
- May use a laptop, tablet or iPad during lectures

- May bring a note taker to oral and written exams
- May bring a personal assistant to the exam for practical help at the beginning and end of the exam
- May bring a Sign Language interpreter to oral exams
- May take a seat in separate exam room for written exams

What can be expected from the preparatory visit?
Students may come to our campus and visit the premises (workshops, classrooms etc.). We may try to arrange a meeting with the professor or a student from the course (this cannot be guaranteed). Students will have to bring necessary support, for example an accompanying person, themselves.

Campus Design and Art may be reached by tramway. Our third campus (Hermes) can also be reached by that mean of transport, but there is a longer distance from the station to those premises.
